On 24 November 2025, our director Prof. Dr. Enkelejda Kasneci participated at the relAI Symposium held at the Haus der Bayerischen Wirtschaft in Munich. During her keynote contribution, Prof. Dr. Enkelejda Kasneci introduced the new relAI research area “Learning & Instruction”, which investigates how reliable AI can transform learning and teaching through intelligent tutoring systems, digital learning assistants, and adaptive feedback mechanisms.

Beyond this contribution, the symposium featured other keynote talks and panel discussion. Prof. Frank Fitzek (TU Dresden) and relAI Fellows Prof. Julia Schnabel (Helmholtz, TUM) and Prof. Stefan Feuerriegel (LMU) respectively addressed reliability challenges in communication networks, medical imaging, and decision-making systems. Furthermore, Dr. Philipp Baaske (LMU, VP Entrepreneurship), relAI Fellow Prof. Claudia Eckert (acatech, President), Anna Kopp (Microsoft Digital Germany, CIO/CDO), and Maria Sievert (founder of inveox) exchanged views on balancing innovation, safety, and scale, highlighting their perspectives on the present and future of governance, certification, and ecosystem responsibility.
The symposium concluded with contributions from relAI students, who shared their experiences and engaged participants during the poster session, offering additional insights into ongoing research and emerging directions.
