As part of the nationwide initiative lernen:digital, the project DigiProMIN has published its first modular, research-based professional development programs for teachers.
The offers, developed in collaboration with nine universities and research institutions, are now freely available as Open Educational Resources (OER) on the central platform lernen:digital.
The programs are designed to support teachers of all school levels in strengthening their digital competencies for future-oriented teaching. A particular focus lies on mathematics, computer science, and the natural sciences, complemented by cross-disciplinary approaches. Innovative methods such as Virtual Reality, simulations, and online platforms are also explored.
Researchers from the TUM contribute actively to DigiProMIN, shaping the design and evaluation of these professional development programs.
About lernen:digital
The competence network lernen:digital aims to establish sustainable cooperation between science, educational practice, and educational administration. The overarching task of the competence network is to promote the systematic and nationwide transfer of evidence-based continuing education and training programs into teacher training.
The goal is for the concepts and materials developed to be incorporated into the programs offered by the federal states and made available to all schools. Close and co-constructive cooperation with the state institutes for teacher training and quality assurance bodies in the federal states, as well as with multipliers in teacher training at critical junctures in the work of the competence network, is an essential prerequisite for success. In addition, formulating standard guidelines and quality criteria for digitization-related teacher training plays a decisive role.
