Professors from the Technical University of Munich (TUM) have published a pragmatic blueprint for global tech leadership, building on the momentum of the EU AI Action Summit.
At the AI Action Summit 2025 in Paris, a cohort of TUM professors led by our Fellow Prof. Gjergji Kasneci proposed a strategic roadmap to secure Europe’s position as a leader in AI innovation. Key recommendations include scaling semiconductor and HPC capacity, establishing a European AI Coordination Council for streamlined governance, and leveraging competitive incentives to drive SME-led innovation. The strategy also emphasizes talent retention through industry-academic partnerships and responsible AI governance with transparent audits. Their vision encompasses taking decisive action now, so that Europe can shape global AI standards and maintain technological sovereignty.
