Together with the Roland Berger Foundation, the TUM Center for Educational Technologies launched a model project to foster AI skills of socially disadvantaged school children at an early age in Germany to understand and responsibly shape the digital future.
AI is transforming the future, but not all children have equal learning opportunities. A joint project by TUM and the Roland Berger Foundation aims to equip socially disadvantaged students with AI skills from third grade onward. As part of the German School Scholarship, the three-year initiative focuses on AI literacy and enhancing writing and language skills with AI tools.
Prof. Enkelejda Kasneci, Director of the TUM Center for Educational Technologies, emphasizes the project’s goal of fostering responsible AI use and personal development from an early age. Long-term plans include expanding AI-supported learning to other subjects and skills.
