The Women in Data Science (WiDS) initiative elevates, empowers and brings together women doing outstanding work in the field of Data Science as well as related fields such as Artificial Intelligence (AI).
On 21 October 2025, our director Prof. Dr. Enkelejda Kasneci participated at the Women in Data Science Munich Conference, hosted by the Bayerischer Rundfunk (BR) and organised by the Ludwig-Maximilians-University Munich (LMU), the Technical University Munich (TUM), Pruna AI and Sixt.
During her talk, Prof. Dr. Enkelejda Kasneci emphasised the possibilities of supporting socially disadvantaged children with AI. Along this contribution, by giving the spotlight to women applying data science in a variety of domains, the conference provided the Munich community with many other insightful discussions surrounding human AI interaction, journalism, machine learning, politics, workplace and more.
The conference invited all genders to attend and ultimately concluded with an open space for socialising and networking.
